Oppo F9, F9 pro coming soon | Oppo Oppo F9, F9 pro leaked teaser

Nearly four months after bringing the display notch-featuring F7, Oppo is now reportedly preparing the launch of the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro. The alleged teaser that hasn't been shared by the Chinese company suggests that the new Oppo models may include a dual rear camera setup along with an LED flash module. 

According to a report in Dealntech, the Oppo F9 has also passed Bluetooth certification (version 4.2) on 18 July in China. There are three model numbers listed which are, CPH 1823, CPH 1825 and CPH 1881, of which the CPH 1823 is speculated to be Oppo F9 or Oppo F9 Pro.

Oppo F9, F9 Pro: Expected Specifications

Usually, the Pro version gets better RAM and internal storage. Hence, if the Oppo F9 launches with 4GB/64GB combo, then the F9 Pro might boast of 6GB/128GB combination.

Oppo doesn’t compromise on the internals. The F7 packed Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 chipset. Needless to mention, the SoC is rather upper-end. The SoC features octa-core processor capable of reaching 2.0 GHz. This generation also had a Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 2280 pixels featuring a 19:9 ratio, and a respectable 405 PPI density. Surprisingly, Oppo even slapped Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Also, the device ran on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 5.0 layer on top.

Oppo usually releases the F-series of phones on a six-month cycle. If the company sticks to the same, buyers can expect the Oppo F9/F9 Pro to launch in October or November. However, rumors indicate Oppo just might break the traditional cycle and launch the smartphone as early as next month, August. Given the unusually short duration between Oppo F7 and F9/F9 Pro, there might not be much difference between the two generations, except for the camera sensors.
